U.S. Facing Shortage Of Canned Whipped Cream
Some not-so-sweet news for dessert lovers. The U.S. is facing a shortage of canned whipped cream.
The shortage comes at an inconvenient time as people prepare to devour excessive amounts of holiday pies.
The Chicago Tribune says nitrous oxide, which is used in aerosol cans of whipped cream, is in short supply.
That’s after an explosion at a nitrous oxide plant in Florida.
In the meantime, some coffee chains are cutting back on whipped cream in drinks.
Whipped cream maker Reddi-wip says the full supply is not expected to be back until February.
