Four Men Sentenced In Ottawa Co. For Poaching Wild Duck
Four men in western Michigan were sentenced for poaching nearly 60 wild ducks.
Tyler Meerman, Colson Modderman, Justin Beckman and Michael Sorenson III pleaded guilty in Ottawa County Tuesday.
The DNR says the four used 200 pounds of corn to illegally entice the ducks before killing them.
They were all ordered to pay nearly $6,000 in fines and reimbursement.
Much of will go back into the state’s fish and game fund.
