Michigan House Approves Legislation To Allow Pharmacists To Dispense Overdoes Drug

Headed to the governor’s desk is legislation that would allow pharmacists to dispense a drug that reverses the side effects of an overdose.

The state House unanimously approved the bill Tuesday afternoon.

Republican Representative Anthony Forlini sponsored the bill.

He says the measure would put the antidote in the hands of more people who might be there when someone overdoses.
