A large pole barn was completely destroyed by flames Tuesday night in Otsego County.
The Gaylord Fire Chief says crews were called out to the barn on Nowak Road in Livingston Township around 5:30 and the barn was fully engulfed.
No one was injured.
Crews were able to save the house which sits 50 feet away from the barn. The chief says a gas tank and a diesel fuel tank sat near the barn but didn’t cause any problems.
The homeowners came home to find the barn on fire and called police.
The fire chief says expensive equipment including a farming tractor, mechanical tools, drums of oil, boiler, among other things were destroyed in the fire.
They pinpointed the cause of the fire as a wood-fired boiler.
