A man is in critical condition as investigators work to find out what caused a destructive, suspicious fire.
113 guests were staying at the Boyne Highlands Resort Main Lodge in Harbor Springs when a fire broke out early Sunday morning.
The sheriff says flames sparked on the third floor and 12 guests were hurt.
A Facebook page for David Chauvette says he suffered smoke inhalation and is in critical condition at a Grand Rapids hospital.
The fire is considered suspicious.
About 40% of the lodge is damaged.
Monday, investigators from several different departments were on scene to figure out exactly what happened.
Investigators say it could still be a few days before a cause can be determined.
