Two Traverse City Area Public Schools had a state education leader roaming the halls Thursday.
Thursday State Superintendent Brian Whiston took a tour of Central Grade School and Traverse City West senior high school.
At the high school, he got a chance to explore special programs and teaching methods in the music department, special education, and model UN class.
A moment for teachers and students to share and the state superintendent to learn.
Superintendent Whiston says, “As state superintendent I think it’s very important to be out in school districts learning the good things they’re doing find out what challenges they’re having so that we can work in a partnership way to help school districts around the state be successful.”
State Superintendent Whiston also visited schools in Charlevoix.
