Michigan Lawmakers Consider Bringing Back Wolf Hunting Law

Michigan lawmakers may make wolves a game species again.

State senators could reenact the wolf hunting law that was once declared unconstitutional.

It’s the fourth time lawmakers have considered wolf hunt laws in recent years.

Last month a Michigan appeals court unanimously ruled that a 2014 law allowing a wolf hunt in Michigan is unconstitutional.

The bill to make it legal to hunt wolves now goes to the House.

Even if it passes, hunting wolves would still be illegal, because they’re considered endangered on the federal level.
