Van Buren County Car Crash Leaves Two People Dead

Two people are dead after a car slid into the path of an oncoming pickup truck on a snowy road in southwestern Michigan.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department says the crashed happened on Highway 40 on Sunday in Porter Township.

An investigation found the driver lost control on the wet, snowy road and started fishtailing sideways into the oncoming lane.

The pickup tried to swerve to miss the car but they collided.

The driver and the passenger in the car both died.

Their names have not been released.
