Unanimous approval of a bill from Michigan senators to have the Traverse City VA clinic named after a local World War I and II veteran.
Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters are trying to get the VA clinic to be named after Army Colonel Demas T. Craw.
Colonel Craw was born near Traverse City in 1900 and went to TC Central High School.
He was awarded the Medal of Honor after he was killed in action in 1942.
The bill now heads to the House of Representatives where Congressman Dan Benishek introduced similar legislation earlier this year.
