Deputies were able to arrest him there.
At Walmart, deputies say they arrested a 25-year-old Manistee man for armed robbery just before 7 Friday morning.
It all started at the Shell Gas Station on US 31 and Silver Lake Road.
The attendant told deputies a white man wearing dark clothes and a ski mask showed gun and asked for money, then when he got the money left on foot.
The sheriff’s office responded with dogs to track him.
Then they got a call from Walmart.
An employee told deputies the man seemed to be passed out in the store. When they tried to wake him he jumped up, ran grabbing a hand gun.
That’s when the store was evacuated and he was detained.
The sheriff’s office credits everyone involved for being able to catch the man.
They say he had a pellet gun.
He’s now at Munson Medical Center to get cleared, then will be taken to the county jail.
