Michigan Counties Now Scheduling Presidential Vote Recount Efforts

The Green Party’s Jill Stein officially filed a recount request Wednesday, and paid nearly $1 million to make it happen.

It will be a hand count of all votes cast in the presidential election, which Donald Trump won in Michigan by about 10,000 votes.

Counties are starting to schedule a time for the recount.

For instance, Montcalm County will begin the process on Sunday at 8:30 in the morning at the former Stanton Elementary School west entrance on North State Street.

The Green Party is looking for volunteers to observe the recount.

We’re working to find out when other counties plan to begin the recount.

At this time, schedules are coming out based on the size of the county, with the larger areas beginning first.
