Benzie Co. Man Sentenced To Prison After Sending Sexually Explicit Messages To Women

A Benzie County man will spend years in prison after sending sexually explicit messages to dozens of women.

Deputies say John Walter III sent those messages to at least 75 women and girls while on parole for soliciting a minor in Kalkaska.

He was arrested in fall 2015 after a mother and her daughter came forward about the messages.

Walter was charged earlier this year.

He will now spend 4 to 6 six years in prison.
