Police Arrest Three Accused Of Credit Card Fraud Scheme

Three men arrested for drugs led police to discover a credit card fraud scheme.

Police arrested the three on drug related charges at the Sunrise Marathon gas station in St. Helen Saturday.

Police say they were trying to by loads of cigarettes with prepaid Visa cards.

In their car, police found a trunk full of cigarettes and dozens of fake credit cards.

Officers believe the men were buying thousands of dollars in cigarettes in Northern Michigan with the cards and selling them for cash in Detroit.

State police say they’d been looking for the three in connection to a string of credit card scams.
