76 People Killed in Colombia Plane Crash

Investigators are narrowing down possible causes after a plane crashed in Colombia, leaving 76 people dead.

The plane was carrying 81 people, including a Brazilian soccer team, when it crashed in a mountainous area outside Medellin, Columbia early Tuesday morning.

Aviation authorities say only five passengers survived.

The head of Colombia’s Civil Aviation Agency says right now, investigators aren’t dismissing the possibility that the flight ran out of fuel before crashing.

But for now, they’re focusing on investigating the cause as a possible electrical failure.

The soccer team was scheduled to play Wednesday in the first of a two-game tournament.
