It’s the day many have been waiting for, marking their calendars and saving their pennies –today is Black Friday.
The first unofficial bargain shopping day of the holiday season.
Some burned the midnight oil, getting started Thursday night!
Thanksgiving Day shopping is a trend some of the nation’s biggest retailers, like JC Penny and Macy’s, are hoping to establish.
However, not everyone is on board with that.
Some say retailers are putting profits over personnel.
“Where we’re located in Acme, Michigan, we’ll pick up later as people leave the city of Traverse City on their way, we’ll be quite busy. Tomorrow will be a fantastic day.”
The National Retail Federation says 137 million Americans will go shopping at some point this weekend.
