Wayne State University Officer On Life Support After Being Shot In The Head

A Wayne State University officer is on life support.

Someone shot him in the head while he was patrolling near the Detroit campus.

Police say Officer Collin Rose was investigating possible thefts from cars late Tuesday night when he was shot.

Police identified a person of interest.

Deangelo Davis is in custody, but he has yet to be charged.

The Wayne State University police chief says they haven’t recovered a weapon.

Shepler’s Mackinac Island Ferry says Rose worked for them several years ago.

They are thinking of and praying for him and his family.

Fellow officers are also hoping for the best, but say it’s not looking good.

Wayne State says no officer of the school has ever died in the line of duty.
