Trooper Involved In Deadly Mackinac County Shooting Will Not Be Charged

The Michigan State Police trooper involved in a deadly shooting in Mackinac County will not be charged.

The county prosecutor says there is proof Trooper Justin Clark used lawful force.

In October, Clark killed Dean Bruning after state police entered his home for a well-being check.

Troopers found him standing behind a curtain pointing a handgun at them.

The prosecutor says Clark shot Bruning twice to protect himself and the other officers on scene.
