Shepherd’s Table Of Cadillac Preparing For Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving is just a couple days away, now a local church is preparing to serve the community a big festive dinner.

The Shepherd’s Table, a free hot meal program, has been cooking and baking away as they get ready to serve a Thanksgiving meal on Thursday.

Volunteers prepared lots of turkeys and pumpkin pies.

Wednesday, they will be preparing dinner rolls, apple pies and brownies.

Guests will be allowed in the church Thursday at noon and dinner will be served at 12:30.

It’s all so that the community can come together for a free meal on Thanksgiving and spend time with friends and family.

“When I get home at night, I am fully tired and fully blessed. This is a great thing to watch and to see the people just connecting with other people maybe they haven’t seen in a year. It’s just a beautiful thing to watch,” says Jan King, coordinator.

Shepherd’s table is looking for volunteers to help cook Wednesday and for the Christmas season. To volunteer call (231)884-1991.
