Texas Police Detective Shot, Killed; Search Underway for Suspect
A massive manhunt is underway Monday morning after someone shot and killed a Texas police detective.
Police say it happened Sunday morning in San Antonio while detective Benjamin Marconi was in his squad car writing a ticket for someone he had stopped.
They say he was shot twice in the head by the driver of another vehicle that had pulled up behind him.
Now, police have released a photo of a person of interest as they continue their hunt for the person responsible.
Marconi’s death follows the ambush killings of multiple police officers in Iowa, Texas and Louisiana earlier this year.
He was a 20-year veteran of the force.
