Missouri Police Sergeant Shot Twice, In Critical Condition

Police in Saint Louis, Missouri are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that left a police sergeant in critical condition.

The Saint Louis police chief says the officer was shot twice in the face when he was sitting in traffic last night.

He says a suspect in a car pulled up alongside the officer’s police vehicle and fired at least two shots before driving off.

The officer was taken to the hospital with critical injuries but is expected to survive.

Swat teams and officers are now searching the area where the shooting happened, as well as looking for any surveillance video that may have captured the shooting.
