DNR: Firearm Deer Season Impacted By Weather Conditions

The weather will play a big factor for hunters in the coming days.

The DNR says the recent warm weather and fog may be slowing down firearm deer season in some places.

In the northern Lower Peninsula, the DNR says numbers are similar or slightly down from last year because of the weather.

While the Upper Peninsula is seeing slightly better numbers after cooler temperatures and less fog.

More than 500,000 hunters are expected to participate this firearm deer season.
