Former Chippewa County Pastor Sentenced To Prison For Sex Crimes

A former Chippewa County pastor is going to prison for sex crimes against teenagers.

Jonas Moses Jr. was sentenced Tuesday in Sault Ste. Marie to at least 45 years in prison.

Moses Jr. was brought from Wisconsin back to Michigan in September 2015.

His first trial in June ended in a hung jury.

In August, he was found guilty of seven sex crimes involving teenagers at the church.

Another prominent figure at the church, Steven Alexander, is serving a 45 year sentence for sex crimes as well.
