Cadillac Businesses See Customer Boost as Open Season Approaches

With a brief break in bow hunting season, comes a favorite unofficial holiday for many Michiganders.

On Tuesday, hunters will head out to the woods for the first day of firearm season.

Guns are sighted, bait has been put out and hunters are ready to shoot that big buck.

Northwood’s Feed and Supply of Cadillac says they’ve seen a lot of hunters preparing for the big day.

“We’re selling a lot of deer feed of course right now; apples, carrots and beets have been very popular as always, a lot of boots right now, too and salt blocks,” says Jerry Horvath, Manager at Northwood’s Feed and Supple. “We’ve got everything you could need. I think it’s been a better year than average this year.”

The season runs through the end of November.
