The Festival Of Trees kicked off in Kalkaska.
It’s a fundraiser that is put on by KAIR, Kalkaska Area Interfaith Resources, a community based volunteer program helping those in need.
Several trees were put on display in the Northland Plaza in Kalkaska.
All were decorated different, from Hot Wheels to American Girl Dolls.
All of them set up and available for people by buying raffle tickets or silent auction bids.
McLean Hardware, McDonalds and other community members gave trees for the fundraiser.
All the money goes to KAIR for their efforts to help others.
“When we raise the money, we know that it’s going right back to KAIR. Whatever we receive, we will be eternally pleased with that,” says Sandy Bodenbender, KAIR.
The festival of trees will continue until November 20th.
