U.S. Fish, Wildlife Service: Firearm Deer Season To Bring Big Boost To State’s Economy

More than 525,000 hunters are expected to take part in this year’s firearm deer season, bringing a big boost to the state’s economy.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service believes hunting in the state rakes in $2.3 billion for Michigan.

Sixty percent of hunters hunt only deer, making the upcoming firearm season especially critical for the economy.

Opening day starts next Tuesday, and when it does, it will have a big impact on local communities including restaurants and hotels.
