A Cheboygan man is charged with killing his dog.
Cheboygan police says the man beat 4 to 5-month-old dog so badly she died from her injuries in Cheboygan.
Thomas Distasio was arrested Sunday for cruelty to animals.
Police say he threw the dog across the room into a large freezer and kicked and stomped on her for getting into the trash.
Along with being charged with killing and torturing animals, he’s also charged with being a habitual offender.
