Traverse City Commission Approves Munson Medical 110 Foot Building

In this update, Traverse City commissioners voted Monday night on a special land use permit for Munson Medical Center.

The hospital wants to build a new 110-foot tall Family Birth and Children’s Center.

The commission approved the request unanimously.

This comes less than 24 hours before those living in Traverse City will vote on prop 3. It’s a proposal that would amend the city’s charter to require voter approval of any buildings over 60-feet tall.
