Veterans are being recognized in Northern Michigan.
The event took place Monday at Michigan Works! in Traverse City.
Michigan Works! is a resource for people looking for jobs.
In the past few weeks, a new portion of the building was created for veterans, including a resource area with computers and printers, along with health service information and education services.
Volunteers say it doesn’t matter what the case is, as long as they can help veterans.
”Whether its hospice, or whether it’s filing a VA claim or sitting with a Veteran while he’s dying, it doesn’t make any difference. We’re here to help the Veterans,” says Buddy to Buddy volunteer, Mike Thorne.
Michigan Works! is open to veterans, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
