The stage is set and the dancers are ready…
If you are in Cadillac tomorrow night, you could be in for a treat.
The Dancing with the Y Stars is returning to the Wexford Civic Center on Saturday night, bringing a whole new cast of dancers from across the area.
You might see a few familiar faces up on stage, too, including the choreography talents of 9&10’s Shannon McGrattan and the dance moves of Cody Boyer.
All proceeds go directly to the Cadillac YMCA to help those who can’t afford memberships get one.
"These people are not trained to dance. They’re in it for the love of it," says Pat Goggin, production director for the event. "They are in it for the fun of doing the theatre. They are in it for the challenge to help the Y. It’s all for a good cause, and with over 600 people here, they’ll do very well."
Standing room tickets are still available for $50 at the door.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the dancing starts at 7:15 p.m.
“It’s a tremendous fundraiser. It’s one of the biggest ones that the Y does and this is going to be a packed house," Goggin says. "We’ve got 8 couples dancing, so it’s quite a show.”
