Bodies of Missing Fishermen Found in Lake Superior

The bodies of three fishermen missing in Lake Superior for more than two weeks, have been found.

State Police say two volunteer search and rescue groups found the bodies of 9-year-old Ethan Chartre, his 43-year-old father Steven and 61-year-old Keith Karvonen who owned the boat the three were out fishing on.

The bodies were found in Keweenaw Bay just before 1:00 P.M. on Saturday.

Authorities have not said what could have caused the boat to sink.

The three were reported missing back on September 17th when they did not return from a fishing trip.

Their disappearance launched as massive search that spanned several days and thousands of square miles on Lake Superior.
