Mount Pleasant Police Stay Busy During Welcome Weekend as CMU Students Return

This weekend, Central Michigan University students returned to Mount Pleasant for the start of the school year.

That meant a busy weekend for police.

Mount Pleasant Police say more 600 calls for service were made in Mount Pleasant from Thursday night until Sunday morning.

 And there were more than 200 people arrested or ticketed for open intoxicants or minor in possession.

Mount Pleasant Police were assisted by a number of other departments throughout the area.
