Cadillac Firefighters to Host Free Movie Night

A local fire department wants to invite you to a free movie showing.

Saturday evening, the City of Cadillac Fire Department is showing "Planes, Fire and Rescue" at the new Cadillac Rotary Pavilion Park.

Kids can come out and explore the fire truck starting around 7:30 to 8 p.m.

Then the movie will play around 8:30 or 9 p.m.

The film is free, and firefighters will be selling popcorn and drinks to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

“We like to be out in the community because it gives us a good rapport with the people we serve, and the people that we’re going into their homes for either medical calls or fire calls,” City of Cadillac Firefighter Blake Meyering said. “We want to be a positive in people’s lives.”

The fire department will do a "fill the boot" fundraiser in the morning in downtown Cadillac, also to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
