Mackinac Bridge to See Hundreds of Bikes for Motorcycles on the Mac

Hundreds of motorcycles are expected to take to the Mighty Mac Saturday morning for a ride across the Straits.

Motorcyclists from all over will be making their way up north for the special ride.

Friday night there will be live music for anyone to come out and enjoy at the First National Bank of St. Ignace.

The crossing is Saturday at 9:30 a.m. leaving from St. Ignace heading to Mackinaw City.

The motorcycles will cruise at a slow 25 miles per hour for everyone to watch and enjoy the view.

The St. Ignace Visitors Bureau says groups of people crossing the Mac is special every time.

"I don’t know what it is about crossing the Mac as a group, but there’s something special about it," St. Ignace Visitors Bureau executive director Gina Stegehuis said. "I think it’s the scenery."

After the crossing, there will be music at the marina and an evening lighted motorcycle cruise through town.
