Clare County Break-In Suspect Shot By Resident Identified

Northern Michigan’s News Leader can now show you the man police say broke into a house and ended up being shot by the homeowner.

It happened two weeks ago in Clare County’s Lincoln Township.

Police say Kenneth Beatty broke into a house, but the homeowner grabbed a gun and demanded he leave.

When deputies got there, they say Beatty ran through the house and was shot by someone inside.

He received non-life threatening injuries.

We’re still waiting to hear Beatty’s exact charges.
