Coast Guard Continues Searching For Missing Boater In Lake Michigan

The U.S. Coast Guard says they found the body of Brian Waslusky, who was boating in Lake Michigan off the coast of Oceana County.

Right now crews are looking for a second boater, Steve Bruce, who is still missing.

The Coast Guard says three people went fishing Sunday night near Little Sable Point and two of them ended up in the water.

They have two boats in the water and a helicopter in the sky, along with other resources from several sheriff’s departments.

They say three men were fishing Sunday night when two of them fell in.

The third man radioed for help from the boat.

A nearby boater was able to pull Waslusky from the water, who later died.

The Coast Guard tells us neither man was wearing a life jacket

The Coast Guard says they plan to continue searching throughout the day if necessary, and that search could stretch into the evening.
