Hook and Hunting: 2016 Liberty Hunt

An opportunity for people who don’t normally get the chance to deer hunt is approaching.

On September 17 and 18 the Liberty Hunt is held for kids ages 16 or younger.

One parent per participant, as well as veterans and those with disabilities will head into the woods on private and public land throughout the state.

The DNR says it’s a great chance for those who can’t hunt during the normal season to get out and potentially harvest a buck or doe.
