A Grand Traverse County commissioner will be charged with drunk driving.
Traverse City police arrested commission chairwoman Christine Maxbauer on July 7.
They say she was driving with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit and hit a parked car.
The Leelanau County prosecutor was assigned to the case after the Grand Traverse County prosecutor requested to be removed.
Maxuber is scheduled to be formally charged with one count of operating while intoxicated Thursday morning in Grand Traverse County.
