Central Michigan University Student Dies From Bacterial Meningitis
A sad update on a Central Michigan University student who was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis downstate.
The Macomb County Health Department announced Saturday that Kristy Malter died from the infection.
She worked at the lifetime fitness day camp for children in Rochester Hills and was hospitalized earlier this week.
Malter was 21-years-old.
Parents of the roughly 200 kids she may have had contact with have been notified.
