Oceana County Man Sentenced to Jail for Charging at Officers with Knife

In this update, a man who charged at officers with a knife is going to jail.

The man was arrested in April when deputies and state police were called to a home near Mears in Oceana County.

Wednesday, Alejandro Salazar was sentenced to nine months in jail and two years of probation.

Deputies say Salazar charged at them with a knife, refusing to drop it.

Officers had to tase him before he was arrested.
