Iraq’s Interior Minister Resigns Following Deadly Attack in Baghdad

Iraq’s interior minister has resigned in the wake of the deadly terror attack that killed more than 200 people in Baghdad last weekend.

Sunday’s attack has sparked widespread anger among Iraqis, who accuse the government of not doing enough to protect them from extremists.

The U.S. Defense Department estimates that ISIS has already lost almost half of the territory they once controlled in Iraq, and more than a third in the area that was held in Syria.

But despite those setbacks, the militant group has still managed to organize devastating attacks.

Iraq’s prime minister is now promising to work even harder to improve security in major cities.
