Plane Crashes In Detroit Street After Running Out Of Gas; Pilot, Bystander Hurt

New details on what caused a plane to fall from the sky onto a street in Detroit.

Investigators say the young pilot ran out of gas.

The small banner plane came down south of Interstate-94.

When the 18-year-old pilot landed, a power line came down with him, hitting a woman’s car.

She was electrocuted when she tried to get out and is in serious condition.

The plane flew over the Detroit River during Monday night’s fireworks display and was pulling a banner over crowds.

Investigators say the pilot reported engine failure.

The Federal Aviation Administration says it will take a few weeks to wrap up the investigation.
