Trial For Upper Peninsula Pastor Accused of Sexually Abusing Minor Begins

The trial for an Upper Peninsula pastor accused of sexually abusing a minor has started.

Jury selection is currently underway for Jonas Moses, Jr.’s trial in Sault Ste. Marie for multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct against a minor between 13 and 15. 

Moses Jr. was a pastor at the Anishnabe Baptist Church.

He was extradited from Wisconsin in September after an investigation that took several months.

Another prominent figure at the church, Steven Alexander has pleaded guilty to sex crimes charges and was sentenced to at least 45 years in prison.

Moses Jr.’s trial is slated for the next three days.
