Troopers Looking For Boyne City Chase Suspect

State police are looking for a man who they say led them on a chase over the weekend.

The trooper was on Front Street near Pleasant Avenue in Boyne City Saturday when he saw a Ford Explorer’s license plate light was out.

He attempted to pull the driver over, but he kept on driving.

Troopers say blew through a stop sign and later a gate at Avalanche Preserve Park.

State police then started to look for the man on foot.

The trooper found the abandoned SUV, but canines were not able to find the suspect.

The trooper contacted the registered owner of the Explorer and got an ID on the likely suspect.

They are seeking a warrant for his arrest.
