Mecosta County Deputies Arrest Man Accused of Threatening Them With Knife

We can now show you the man accused of threatening deputies with a knife.

Mecosta County deputies responded to a campground on Newcosta Road in Aetna Township around 1 a.m. Saturday morning for an assault and battery.

Investigators say Kareem Ismail was identified as the suspect.

When they approached his camper he became aggressive and brought out a knife.

They were able to safely disarm and arrest him.

He is now facing charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and assaulting or resisting a police officer.
