We have some good news for teachers around Michigan.
A court ruling Tuesday returns wages that were withheld from teacher’s paychecks for retiree healthcare.
Public school employees had 3% of their pay deducted for about two years under a 2010 law.
Once the law was declared unconstitutional, a new law was passed in 2012, which was upheld by the state Supreme Court.
But the state appeals court ruled Tuesday the initial salary deduction was improper.
