Rotary Charities of Traverse City Awards $50,000 Grant To Grand Traverse Bay YMCA

The YMCA is pretty important in Grand Traverse County.

Now it’s getting more help to stay that way.

Rotary Charities of Traverse City is giving the community center a $50,000 grant.

It’s part of the spring-cycle grant.

The money will go toward creating new programs at the YMCA, as well as sustaining the Easling Pool.

The center is excited about the new opportunities for families.

“We are offering programs to really enhance the member experience with kids, families and adults. We’re very excited about that,” says Jay Buckmaster, president and CEO of the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA.

The Rotary Charities also awarded nearly $400,000 in grants to other foundations across Northern Michigan.
