Unemployment Rates for Iraq, Afghanistan War Veterans Hits Record Low

Stocks were closed Monday in honor of the Memorial Day holiday.

A new report shows more veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have jobs than veterans at any time since the great recession.

The unemployment rate for post-9/11 veterans recently hit a record low.

But many advocates caution the battle is not over

Jonathan Schleifer at the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America praises the lower unemployment rate, but warns proposed cuts to the GI Bill could impede further gains, including a house-passed $770 million reduction in housing subsidies for children of veterans.
