A high school teacher was punished after slapping a student on the arm during school lunch.
The teacher assault sentencing happened Monday afternoon.
It stems from an incident at the Roscommon High School in January.
Eric Stenson overheard a student swearing in the hallway and slapped her arm.
He then turned himself into the superintendent after she started swearing at him.
Now, Stenson is facing a 12-month delay on probation and 100 hours of community service.
He must complete that in 90 days.
We have reached out to the school to see if Stenson is still employed but have not heard back.
