Baldwin Family Health Care Breaks Ground on Expansion
A local health care facility breaking ground a multi-million dollar expansion on Monday.
Family Health Care in Baldwin is adding 2,000 square feet at a cost of $2.9 million.
On Monday, they celebrated the start of the project at their Baldwin office.
The Health Resources and Services Administration gave them a $1 million grant towards the project.
They’ll be expanding pharmacy service and adding four more medical exam rooms.
They say it’s a necessary expansion with a recent increase in patients.
“What we’re hoping to do is create some efficiency so that were able to serve more and serve anyone who comes to our doors. We’ve been working under cramped quarters and with the onset of electronic health records our physical work flow is inadequate for today’s medicine,” said CEO Kathy Sather
They hope to have the expansion complete by this time next year.
