Pine River Schools Alert Parents After Student Claimed To Make Cupcakes Laced With Marijuana

A Pine River student said she made cupcakes laced with marijuana in them.

She reportedly brought them in for a Cinco de Mayo celebration for her Spanish class at the school in Osceola County.

The cupcakes were eaten, but the school says there is no way to know whether they were actually laced with marijuana.

The school says they have not observed any student ill or under the influence of marijuana, but are taking the situation seriously.

The school is asking parents to watch their kids and report any symptoms they might have.

They are also taking another look at their policies regarding baked goods.

Due to the possible health issue, the school cancelled its middle school track meet scheduled for Wednesday.
